How fun is this? This morning I got up and completely rewired and cleaned up our TV area - now I have 2 TV's with surround sound all set-up. Does it really matter that I'm the only one in my family that cares? Isn't a 26" TV beside a 27" TV 53" inches?Grant and I headed out to the WOP at 10:00 for a 1:00pm start of the Womans 7.5k Biathlon. Getting out their worked out good. We walked on to the bus today and then the hike up to WOP (Whistler Olympic Park) was nice fast walk – about 1.5k - there were places to see the cross country skiers practising. We had general admission (standing) tickets and we wondered around a bit to find a spot, we found a great spot right at the fence where the races came right by on their finish, but we could see up the track to the start/finish and shooting. Grant, built a snow platform to give him some more height. The biathlon was really cool, there was so much going on. We had a GREAT time. >>> see today's photos. We hustled down because one or both of us was going to luge depending what Sharon decided. It ended up being Sharon and I - so made our way to WSC (Whistler Sliding Centre). 7 min drive to my parking spot – 3 min walk to the gondola – 10 min wait in line at gondola – 7 min gondola ride – 50 min wait at |

security - $5.50 for a bottle water and coffee (not bad) – being at the Olympics watching luge PRICELESS! I had not seen luge before, we wondered around and watched from various places on the track – it is very cool watching these guys go by at 140k. Leaning over the track and watching these guys come down and in a blink there were gone I giggled uncontrollably it was hilarious. At one point we were right beside the pole the Georgian athlete hit the day before – when we realized that it was right here the accident happened it was a strange feeling. Quickly moved on. Very glad there were no accidents that day. All in all it was fantastic. We brought the bus down instead of the gondola which was easy - then we wondered into the village, talked to some friends watched an interview with Nancy Green and Jennifer Ledger at the CTV broadcast centre – if you saw that interview I was there waving at you in the background. The it was home time to watch the rerun of the moguls and seeing Jenn give it her all, but being out run on that day by the American too bad, but great job on silver!
